If anyone could share what size their newborn wore in the hospital and following weeks and how much they weighed that would be great. I'm trying to figure out what sizes she'll need when she's a newborn. She's estimated to be on the large side, like 8+ lbs. (as both me and DH were), so I'm wondering if she will even fit into NB sizes. Thanks!!

Re: Did your newborn wear NB or 0-3?
My DS is now 8 pounds and newborn stuff mostly fits him. It's the length of a lot of it that makes things hard to fit -- sleepers have to be just the right length, and every brand is different.
Carter's sells some onesies + pants combos where the pants have feet - I wish we had more of them, because it makes it easier to fit different lengths of babies, and also means you don't have to deal with socks that won't stay on their tiny feet yet.
DD weighed 8lbs 4 oz at birth, is now 9lbs 7oz (according to my scale at home...) and is still in Carter's NB clothes. Sleepers are getting a little short, but they still fit. Gerbers NB doesn't fit and hasn't since the first week - even though she lost a considerable amount of weight!

8 lbs 7 oz at birth, wore NB for a few short weeks (maybe 3). Really the Carter brand was the only one to last any significant amount of time.
0-3 fit pretty good up until almost 13 pounds.
Pretty much this. Our DD was 9 lbs 5 oz, but the same thing for sizes. She's 6 weeks and has outgrown 3 month footed sleepers except for a few from Carter's. She was also wore size 1 diapers starting in the hospital.
