I'm thinking of getting N one of these. Does anyone have one? Do you like it? I plan on renting a bounce house for his birthday at $150 for the day, but for $60 more why not get him one to use all summer. I know it won't be as big, but at 2.5, neither is he.
Re: Bounce House?
We have this one:

Looks the same but ours has a top. I like having the top so it's shaded. It's pretty big. It says only 3 kids at a time but that has worked for us. We have even set it up in the garage before. The only thing that I don't like is that ther'es a "back door" that's really easy to fall out of because it's just velcro. So in the garage, we have to really be careful. Falling out on the grass isn't as scary.
Our hardest thing has been to keep it dry. Ours has some mildew growth that you can sort of see on the inside. I odn't know what to do about that, or if it really matters. They're jumping on it outside, not sleeping on it. And it's not gross, just little dots I can see.
We have gotten a lot of use out of ours though.
My husband is such a kill joy:
Temping, yes, but that's not that big. I'd rather use the $50 price difference to pay for 8 open play times at Jump Planet with their WAY cooler bounce house setup. Plus, we'd need to put that thing somewhere and I wonder just how often we'd actually drag it out and set it up. Things like this and the trampoline idea remind me of the Ikea indoor tent. We just don't set it up much.
Can I reply: then why'd you spend $10k and all last summer building a shed if not to store our kid's toys?!?!?!
How fun! You can leave it up this summer when it is nice out.
I bet you can resell it once you are done using it.
...don't forget the FREE option!
Not when my son's party becomes sponsored by a realtor.
I have DH on board for one of the toddler trampolines. The boy has energy to burn and we could use that year round.
