Had our second u/s today!

We went in this morning for our second u/s today at 7w.  Baby measured 6w5d and we could see the little flickering heartbeat.  I didn't get a heart rate last time so I asked today, but she said they didn't let her use whatever tool she needs to get that.  She estimated it's in the 140s though.  PIO is going well, though my butt has started to lump/bruise and be sore like you said it would.  lol  It is all worth it to keep baby safe and sound. 

I know it's early but DH is so excited and so is my Mom, so I think I'm going to out myself on FB today.  I'm so nervous, but am trying to let myself be excited.  I know a lot of people won't understand announcing so early, but the doctors didn't think my Mom would make it to Christmas and she's still with us and doing really well right now.  I think she has been rejuvenated by all this excitement.  I'm hoping she'll be here at least until the baby is born, but if not I want her to enjoy this all she can.

    Aw sweetie, hugs to you.  I am so glad that you had a great appointment and you are able to share these precious moments with your mom.  I'm sure this is SO special to her.

    I say go for it and out yourself!!!!  You deserve to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy!!!

    Oh hon, what a great appointment! I'm so happy that everything looks great.

    I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. ((hugs)) And I say do what feels right to you. I announced early because I was afraid and knew that if something was to go wrong I would need the support... but I like your reason better. You truly have a lot to celebrate. :)

    I'm glad to see that others understand.  She has been bugging me since last week's u/s about when she can post about it, lol!  I already gave her permission to tell her neighbors since she was so excited.  :)

    You deserve to enjoy this time and share every moment of it that you can with your mom.  If that means "coming out" a little early, that's OK.  GL with your FB post.

    What great news! So sorry to hear about your mom : (

    My SIL was pregnant with her first and they told her that her mom wouldn't make it for the birth. But she did - we think because of the excitement and positive activities, she made it and beyond! I hope that's the case for you and your family and again I am so sorry.

    Glad all is well.  The PIO sucks but soon your hips will just be numb to the shots.
