If you could, please send thought's and prayers our way. They expect it to hit is in the morning. And pray for Japan where the huge earthquakes and tsunamis have hit already.
I am personally on a hillside and the hospital I'd be delivering at is inland so I am not super nervous about that part. My concern is that people wont take this tsunami seriously and get hurt (considering we had a big warning last year that turned out to be nothing). I'm also nervous about being able to get to the hospital with people panicking. So yes, please pray for this all if you could.
Re: Tsunami warning here in Hawaii
T&Ps to you...
Did the government tell you guys who are living near water to move more inland or evacuate? The weather all around the world these past couple of years has gotten scarier & scarier.
My best friend is on Kauai. I also pray that people take this seriously. Sending T&P's your way.
Yes, they set off sirens a few minutes ago and there's evacuation locations where people should be moving inland. I'm hoping those who are told to move actually do so. I agree, the world disasters are getting crazier and crazier these days!

Praying. I have several friends there and both are up high. I think the old-timers will remember Hilo and get safe. Hopefully the rest will listen to the warnings. Western coast is now under watch (California, Washington, Oregon etc). The footage of Japan is devastating.
Stay safe.
T&P's to you and everyone else...CNN is saying the arrival will be around 2 hours from now. And there is going to be more they are saying...Japan's after shocks are at about a 7.1
And T&P's to the whole Pacific Coast... They all have tsunami warnings...crazy.
Edit: CNN keeps saying something different every few minutes. Good thing there are sirens.
Yikes!!! T&P to all of the affected areas!
Would it be safe to go to a location close to the hospital in the event you had to be there? Or even go and "hang out" there? I know that might sound weird, but I think that is what I would do. That way you are there if something happens.
This. I'm on the right side of the Rockies to be protected from something crazy like a tsunami in the very least.

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.
FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.
