This is a fun request! My school's annual auction is coming up and we're in full-on procurement mode! I'm working on putting together a basket to make as a donation. This year's theme is an Alice in Wonderland theme, "Through the Looking Glass", so I thought a little tea party basket would be a fun one for a parent to buy for their kiddo. Then our good friends at Pinwheel Lane donated some cute party decos to go with the theme, so I thought I'd make it a tea party birthday party basket! I could use some ideas to help round out the basket. Here's what I have so far:
Pinwheel Lane party decos
Tiara
Tea Set
Tea Party book (the one by Sarah Ferguson!)
Box of children's tea
Certificate for a dozen cupcakes
Any other recs for fun stuff I can buy to put in this basket?? I want to make it a little girls party dream come true
Hit me with your ideas, crafty ladies! Thanks in advance!
Re: Need your ideas! Tea Party...
table cloth or place mats?
big hats and gloves - for some reason I always wore these when I was little and doing tea parties
place cards
Feather boa? Other play jewelry? Play dress up gloves? Box of tea cookies? A "furry friend" to have a tea party with (like a teddy bear)? You said tiara but when I think of tea parties I think of big fancy hats.
If you have extra money to spare a gift certificate for mother / daughter tea for here:

A tutu! (These are actually super easy to make if you just do elastic and knotted tulle, you can google instructions. Maybe red, black & white?).
One of those cute mini hats with feathers 'n netting? Might be able to find something at Claire's or Hot Topic.
A DVD of the movie? Either animated or Johnny Depp?
Maybe check the Disney store web site, I bet they have a lot of items. Maybe a stuffed cheshire cat?
What about some sparkling lemonade or type of drink.
I love these cupcake kits, maybe some type of toppers?

Oh yes, I knew I could count on you ladies!
I love the Queen Mary certificate idea - I had lunch there on Monday and picked up a few items there. I left a letter with the owner to see if she'd donate... fingers crossed.
Adding to list: tutu, gloves, bear(s), cupcake toppers, invitations...
Love!
