What can you recommend?

My hubby and I are trying to plan a weekend away for our anniversary.  I want to go to MSP but am not sure what there is to do (I always do the SAME things when i go there and it has been 15 years since I lived there).  We are looking to do this on the cheap...so what do you got? I thought about going to Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, but that only takes up one night (and isn't overly cheap! haha).  We would be looking at the weekend of April 15-17 (just in case you know of something going on that weekend).  I also already looked into going to a Twins game, but they are away that weekend :( 

Ok well TIA!  And if any of you are ever headed North (Park Rapids area) let me know!  I can definetly recommend some things for you to see!

    None of these are super cheap, but if you considered a Twins Game probably comparable. Acme Comedy Company, Dakota Jazz Club, Comedy Sports, Brave New Workshop (this is probably my favorite). MOA has a new Underwater World thing - I want to go check that out. There's all the museums - love the Walker and MIA is free.

    I enjoy walking around the lakes though - that never gets old and the people watching is great. There's the Como Zoo, Minnesota Zoo, the Conservatory (things should be blooming in April, and you'll be near the Dinner Theater!).
