So I wanted to share my birth story with you guys.

I woke up Tuesday morning about 1am with contraction about 10min apart. I got out of bed at about 3:00am and they were coming every 5 min or so. I called labor and delivery and they said to try to take a bath and labor at home as much as I could. I took a bath and layed around and about 5:30 they were getting pretty intense so I got my husband up and we went into the hospital. When we got there they brought me into an exam room to see how often the contractions were happening. They were coming about every 4-5min and lasting about a minute. The on call resident came and checked me and I was 5cm and 100%. Big improvement from the week before when I was 2.5cm and 50%. They got me set up in a hospital room and had to get fluids in me before I could have the epidural that I wanted for pain. I get the fluids and they call the anesthesiologist, but he is in a c section and will come over when he is done. They give me a shot of another pain bed to take the edge of the contractions off till he can come. My contractions were really hard and coming really often. My husband was so great he would push on my back every time I was having one which helped a lot. The nurse called the anesthesiologist 3 times about my epidural. I started feeling a lot of pressure and the nurse checks me and Im 8cm this is only about 2 hours after I was admitted. They call my doctor to come over because I am progressing so quickly. She arrives and checks me and I am 9.5cm. At this point the anthesioloist can give me the epidural but I decide not to because it wont even take because I am so far along. My doctor breaks my water and its not clear so they wanna try scope her throat out before she cries. 2minutes after that I am pushing my baby out, and 12minutes later Jordan Elizabeth is born. Everything is great and she is a healthy baby. I did have some 2nd degree tearing but they sewed me up and I am on some pain meds. The bleeding has not been horriable and I have even been able to take a poop which was not as bad as I thought it would be. She is a champ at nursing no problems. We are back home now. She loves to sleep during the day, and she does not like her crib.
