Birthday gift ?

My nephew is about to turn 1 and he needs nothing! I even asked his  Mom if there was anything she needed for him, and she said no.  So I am totally lost at what to get him. I usually buy my nieces and nephews clothes for their birthdays or shoes, but he doesn't need either of these because we just stocked up at the consignment sales. 

Do any of you have an idea of something that would be useful this summer for a 1 year old??? He isn't anywhere near walking so that limits lots of outside toys too.

    Maybe some type of outdoor pool to play in this summer?  Who knows...maybe he will be walking by summer too, so you could also look at a water table (DD has this one and loves it!)

    you can do a summer theme..

    Get a beach bucket and fill the bucket with summer items:

    shovel 

    swim suit

    sunscreen

    sandals

    floaties (if they have a pool or community pool)

    beach towel
