Late Period but negative test

I am over 2 weeks late for my period, I took a test last friday and it was negative then Wednesday i was spotting so i thought yesterday i would get my period, but it didnt come. I took another test this morning and it was still negative. Any advise would be helpful! Is it possible that i could still be pregnant? TIA

Do you chart? There's a chance that you ovulated late, it can happen occasionally even if you have usually regular cycles. I highly recommend charting through Fertility Friend, you can sign up by clicking on anyone's ticker. As for what to do now, keep taking a test once a week until you get your period, a positive, or CD60 at which point you should give your doc a call. Good luck!

Keep testing once a week until the test comes back positive or you reach 60 days, whichever comes first. When you hit CD 60, call your OB/Gyn who will likely prescribe Provera to bring on your period. As far as whether or not you could still be pg is dependent on when you ovulated. If you know for sure you ovulated over 14 days ago, then it's less likely...but not impossible. If you aren't temping or using OPK's and your period is late, often times you just ovulated later than usual, which means you could still be pg or your cycle just went a little longer this month. xoxo

I am confused....could you STILL be pregnant? Did you get a positive? I am going to assume no, in which case, I will say maybe. You could be pregnant or you could have ovulated late (or not at all). Test weekly until you get af or 60 days without a period. Call your doctor if you get to 60.

my guess is that if you're getting negative tests, you're not pregnant. could it just be an unusually long cycle? i just started charting my temps this cycle to get a better idea of when/if i'm ovulating. if you're not doing so, i highly recommend it. are you trying to get pregnant?

Yes we are trying to get pregnant. I did ovulate late this month so i guess i am not actually 2 weeks late. but for sure a week late. I am not charting but it might be something that i should look into.

Honestly, unless you temp it's impossible to say when you ovulated, therefore there's no way to tell if your AF is really late, or you just ovulate late. Charting is very simple and easy, and will definitely help in your road to conceiving. All you need is a Basal thermometer. They are available in most chain pharmacy stores, and online. They cost under >10 and are much more precise then a regular thermometer. You take your temp every morning when you wake up at the same time before moving or doing anything. You just write it down, and when you have time you go to www.fertilityfriend.com and enter the data on the appropriate days, and it will do the rest of the work for you. It will let you know exactly when you ovulated that way you can pinpoint whether or not there's a possibility of you being preggo every month and whether or not you are late for AF. Basically it costs $10 to really increase your odds of conceiving sooner. FF is free for a basic membership, which is really all you need. You can opt for a paid membership if you want though for $10 a month or $45 a year. xoxo

The only way to really know for sure is if you chart/temp. It is always possible you could be pregnant with such a late period...but you don't know if you are late or just did not ovulate yet or ovulated late unless you chart.

Best thing you can do is take a HPT once a week until you hit day 60 of being late, then call your doctor.
