Hello, I'm new here & about 6 wks along according to the pregnancy calculator. I do not currently have an OB and need to find someone who delivers at University of Michigan hospital.
My husband and I are thrilled and I can't wait to get an appointment... Unfortunately, the only people I know to ask are colleagues - and it is just too soon to spread the good news at work.
Many thanks for any help you can offer!
Julie
Re: New & looking for OB associated with U of M hospital
Congrats on your pregnancy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my OB's office. I see a midwife, but I think only the OBs deliver at U-M (I am delivering at St Joes).
I go to Menon, Miller and Midwives, but there are other IHA docs that deliver at U-M

I have read wonderful things about IHA... I did call them and unfortunately, their OB's do not deliver out of UM.
Pretty much all the OB reviews I've found are associated with St. Joe's. I'm sure there are great doctors at UM too... I will need to keep researching.
Thanks for much for your response; I'm glad you're happy with your midwife!!
I went to U of M for a second opinion from their maternal fetal medicine department - saw Dr. Nugent. Loved him! The office staff was so nice.
Maybe you can call the office and ask for a referral to a general OB? 734-763-6295
I hope you find someone, good luck!
I go to Dr Julie Perry who delivers out of U of M. She is wonderful!!! I just started seeing her when I became pregnant. It is a large practice, but you feel very at home. Here is the information....

Thanks so much, ladies!!! I really appreciate the references... finding a good doctor is so important, I don't want to just leave it up to chance. I'm working on getting an appointment soon. I've been super paranoid lately b/c it seems like the little bit of symptoms I had, I'm not feeling anymore. Hopefully I can get some information on how things are progessing, and put my mind at ease.
Congrats & best luck to you all!
I see Dr. Nicholson here. LOVE her. I'd been seeing an NP that works under her for about 6 years now, but the NP doesn't do prenatal care.
