I posted something about this earlier but those of you doing an Easter Basket for your LO what are you butting in it? So far I have: Basket from PBK, 3 bunny books (Peter Rabbit and Velveteen Rabbit and one other Golden book) and I am looking for a plush bunny (found a few cute ones on line). What else are you putting in there? I am thinking of adding some toy thing but I also don't want to go overboard either since this is mainly for me since the baby won't really remember this! hahaa!

honestly, i'll probably wait til next year for an easter basket. i'm just wondering if we'll be ready to travel 3 hours to spend the holiday w/ my family...

I was googling ideas last night after reading your post and thinking about my own basket, and here are a few ideas that I liked:

baby's first bible (from one of the webpages I googled)

i LOVE your Peter Rabbit and Velveteen Rabbit book idea

Yes To Carrots brand baby supplies (my idea)

I probably won't go tooo overboard because there will probably be baskets from the grandparents too with things like clothes and stuffed bunny rabbits.

You are just too cute with this!

I will probably just do a book or two with a stuffed animal. I was also thinking a new pacifier, maybe a wubanub. DS didn't take the soothie type pacifier so I never could get him one, but maybe this baby will!

I love the idea of baby's first bible and the rabbit books... Not too sure - Easter at my house was never a huge deal, we're not that religious and we normally only got candy. I remember growing up and a (Catholic) girl friend of mine got a new outfit and a toy and candy!! I was jealous of that!! LOL I like the idea of getting LO a new outfit for Easter though!!

Such a cute idea! I really wanted to do an Easter basket for my little girl, and this is a great way of doing it. I know the PBK basket was probably expensive, but totally worth it if she grows up with it! I had the same basket each year that I got on my very first Easter!

I haven't found a basket I like yet so all I have right now is a soft stuffed bear from Hallmark that says "My First Friend" on it. And I have an outfit from Target that says "My First Easter." He'll wear it to see the Easter Bunny before Easter, but I'll put it in his basket after. Other than that it's probably all I'll do b/c his great grandparents will probably get him a basket too.

The Target closest to me has an entire aisle of Easter baskets too, some very cute ones. Bun- did you get the small or the large from PBK? I was looking at the small with the pink gingham insert...

I went to the actual store and saw them...the small is WAY big enough. The large IMO was huge...I fdidnt want too big b/c later on when i fill it with candy I won't want to feel like i have to give so much candy and regret it later!! I plan to buy it on-line once the baby is born and we know what we're having!

With our family we do baskets and than one bigger gift. We haven't started on ours at all yet, but this is probably what we are planning on doing:

For DS (2 yrs): a stuffed animal, M&Ms, a book and something else.

For DD: a nice easter dress (I'm waiting to see how big she is to figure out which size to buy) and probably a stuffed animal.

None of our local stores have Easter stuff out yet so I haven't found any baskets yet. I might check into PBK and see what they have.

my dh was totally making fun of me for wanting to do this. I was thinking a paci a toy and a book, mabey a cute first easter outfit, I am planning on making one for dh but Ill probley eat most of his, Iam obsessed with cadbury eggs right now.
