DD being the bad girl in DC

DD told me the other day that she was crying. I asked why & she said because she got a time out. She said she kicked Emma's stroller when they where playing baby dolls. I told her that isn't how we behave & that she needs to wait her turn & not be mean to her friends.

Today I find out she scratched another girls face. When I asked her why she said she didn't do it. She said Johnny did it. When I said are you sure it was Johnny & not her, she said, I didn't do it mommy.

So now what do I do? Do I talk to the teacher again about it? Do I let it go? I did tell her that's not nice to do & we don't treat our friends like this. I just don't want her getting into trouble if she wasn't at fault. She's kicked & hit before but never scratched like that.

  • I would let it go. ?IMO, it's daycare's job to discipline for things that happen at daycare. ?Even if she did receive a time out for something she didn't do, it's water under the bridge at this point. ?

  • None of this behavior would phase me at all (whether it was my kid or another girl from her school) - sounds like pretty standard toddler/preschoolers behavior. I don't think you should characterize her as the "bad girl" that just puts a unnecessary negative connotation on it.
