Great question! I am delivering there, too... next month! This is my first baby, so I don't have any experience with the L & D dept. yet, but when I've used Baptist for other procedures/ services in the past, I have always been very satisfied!

This is my first pregnancy, but that is where I'm delivering too. We toured a few weeks ago and I really liked that all of the rooms are private and had their own thermostats and bathrooms/showers. The only downside is they don't have a true nicu. If there are serious complications with the baby, they have to take him to Kosair. Norton Suburban does have a nicu, but I didn't tour there. My OB only delivers at Baptist East.
my sister in law is a nurse there and i have heard nothing but great things about them. Ill be delivering there as well and lot of people i know have delivered there and say its the best! I dont go for a tour until january tho...
I was in Baptist in the L & D unit for a week due to going into labor at 20 weeks. I had nothing but great things to say about the whole thing. They were there for you when you needed it. The Drs came by to see us several times a day and explained everything very well as far as our treatment went. They took a rather scary situation and turned it into a great experiance. The only bad thing I can say is that the food well its not that great. I had my husband or someone from the family get me food for almost every meal!
I haven't delivered at BHE before, but I did work there for two years in two different departments that worked with every dept including mother/baby and L&D. I would not go anywhere else to have your baby. The rooms are very nice, the staff is the best, and the whole hospital cares very much about all the little babies and their mothers wanting to make it the best experience possible. They offer tons of classes and support as well!
I delivered my 5 year old DS there, and plan on delivering baby #2 there once I find a doctor that delivers there. A lot of the doctors in Louisville seem to go to Suburban. I Loved BHE. The doctors were fantastic, the nurses were very helpful and understanding. They made sure I was comfortable and when DS was born, they took excellent care of him. Love BHE

I will be delivering there in June and I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the hospital and espically labor and delivery. I also have had several friends that had wonderful experiences delivering there recently. I hope my experience goes just as good. I also go to Women First in Louisville and I love all the doctors so far.

I delivered at Baptist East with a planned C section. I have nothing but great things to say about that hospital. The nurses and the staff took excellent care of me and my daughter. Lactation consultants were wonderful. Overall, they went above and beyond my expectations! Food was pretty bad but hey, what do you expect for hospital food?
I had my first child there in 2000, the staff was wonderful. I loved the way they took care of me and my son. They have updated since then, so it should be great.
