Stinkers

You know you really need a mommy break when you are looking forward to going to the Dr just so you can have a moment to yourself in the waiting room and maybe even take the time to look at a magazine.

And then DH calls and says he can't come home early now (even though he asked off over a week ago) and I have to take the kids with me.  This is going to be awesome.

Sometimes not having any family in town really, really stinks.

    i know how you feel.  I had one today which meant I was taking both kids.   I stalked the drs office until I got one on Tuesday(my mom was in town).  I was GIDDY!  I wish we lived closer and I'd watch them for you so it wouldnt be so stressful

    Oh no!  I totally look forward to any kind of appointment where I don't have either kid with me.  Heck, I got so excited to drive to the drug store alone.  I opened the sunroof and cranked up the music like I was a silly teenager or something.  I even tried to prolong it by going to the drycleaners :-)  Woo hoo!  I have decided that I officially HATE taking 2 kids to the Dr's office- whether the appointment is for me or one of them... it just sucks.  Gavin had his 3 year old well visit on Monday and a second nurse actually had to come in to help me b/c Sophie was not cooperating at all and Gavin was having one of those terrible 3 moments where he wouldn't stand on the scale or get measured or anything.  And we get to do it all over again tomorrow at the ENT.  Hope they cooperate for you today!

    Right there with you. I had my annual check up last week at my ob/gyn. I scheduled it for when I was coming in from a trip and I could go straight there that way Owen was still in daycare. I brought my book inside , wasn't worried about waiting...Don't you know I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I hope the boys are in their best moods for you this afternoon!

    so right there with you!  and ditto decaturbride, I decided to get a sitter for Riley for one of my appointments two weeks ago and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes!  but of course when I have them with me I'm there for an hour.  sorry lady, good luck today!
