What time do you think is best for a birthday party? I was thinking 10:30, but A has been taking his nap around 11:45-12 and I am afraid he will be tired and then I will feel rushed to end the party. So, now I am leaning towards 2:30...thoughts?
2:30, 3ish sounds perfect. Most kids (not mine, but most kids) are up from their naps around then too, and provided they're not traveling from afar, it's a great time to start a party.
I would do early if it is a kids only party like 9/9:30 or later at like 3:30/4. Since our party will be mostly our friends/family we are doing it at 4ish.
I'd always prefer the afternoon, and Sarah often naps 12-3, so I'd do 4 pm. That's what we did for her first birthday party too and what we'll probably do for her second.

All of our parties (1, 2, 3, and 4) have so far been from 4 to 6. I like 4 PM as it's late enough for guests that take later naps. Also, it gives you all day to get your act together for the party. We go to a lot of morning parties (9 to 11 or 10 to 12) and that time always seems so difficult for the hostess to get everything ready (at least it would be for me!).
My boys are/were earlier nappers too and while we're mean parents and don't have birthday parties yet I would think that 10;30 would be a rough time for him, but you know best how he'd handle all the extra energy. In my house, Cooper would do fine and then nap hard and Andrew would have gotten over wired and been impossible to nap.
Also you've got some time until you have to put it in stone so he may be napping a little later as he's closer to 2 anyway.
I think 2:30 or even 3 is a great start time for a party. I may do that too now that you are mentioning it . I always think of the morning for toddler parties but naps are so variable, it seems better in the afternoon.
