Minnesota Babies

Moving to Mpls, need recommendations!

We just found out we are being relocated to Minneapolis for my husband's job and I wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations for a new pediatrician. We will be in the northwest metro area, most likely Plymouth/Maple Grove area.

Also if anyone has recommendations on good preschools in the area this would be very helpful as well.

Thanks!

  • We go to SouthLake Peds.  They have offices both in Maple Grove and Plymouth...the Maple Grove location is even open on weekends.  It's a giantic practice but they really make it feel intimate if you stick with one doc.  Typically we see whomever for a same-day appointment but stick with 'our doctor' if we can.  Everyone is very nice, friendly and genuinely cares for children.  I would HIGHLY recommend them!!!

  • We go to Wazata Children's Clinic in Minnetonka and see Dr. Burton Benson for each visit.  We have had great experiences so far with the doctor and really like the clinic.  Their hours are nice as well.

  • Dr. Greg Savitt at Partners in Pediatrics in Plymouth is who DS sees.

I absolutely love him and the clinic.  There is a Partners in Peds clinic in Maple Grove as well.

All locations have ReadyCare, which is where you can just walk in at anytime without an appt for things like illness or injuries.  You get in really fast, too.

  • We go to Parterns in Peds as well and like it.  Since we are usually going in last minute we end up seeing different doctors.
