Hi Ladies!
I was wondering if any of you who have delivered at Pennsylvania Hosp. know what their policy is regarding cameras/video during labor & delivery. DH is very insistant upon videoing during l&d, but I'm kinda hoping they won't allow it. He's the only one I plan on allowing in the room, besides the doc's. I feel like I'll need him to be helping & supporting me w/o a camera in his hand or in my face!
TIA
Re: Pennsylvania Hosp. policy question
I delivered there in July and they didn't saying anything when my sister had the video camera out when I was in active labor. She didn't take video or pictures when I was actually delivering though. Then she took pictures after I delivered and it was fine.
I don't know how he would be able to manage a video camera and help you during the actual delivery. Maybe you could let him take a little video while you are in labor and then some of you and your LO after you deliver.
On a side note, they wont let you have lollipops or hard candy while you are in labor. I know some people recommend it but the nurse made me throw mine out.
Good Luck!

According to the birthing class I took there, anything is allowed in your room. Video and cameras aren't allowed in the public areas since obviously, you don't have permission to film other women in labor, etc.
Just tell him it isn't allowed or you REALLY don't want it. There isn't much a pregnant lady will lose on the further she gets
Once he feels the first kick, he won't argue with you about much.
