Question about aking temp...

We got to bring Greyson home yesterday!!  It's so great to have him here, we just need to get his brother home!

 In the NICU they take their temp before each diaper change/feeding.  We've been doing that since we brought him home.  How long did you keep taking your LO's temp?

    I only take it if he feels warm.  By the time they let them leave the consistently hold their own body temperature.

    Congrats!!!

    We didn't take Annabelle's temp once she was home unless we were worried (which, to be fair, was about every five minutes).  

    Good luck and enjoy that little peanut!

    We're not home but I just asked our NP about this yesterday- she said once we are home we only need to take temp 1x per day :)

    Congrats on having Grayson home!! That's wonderful!! We took their temp with every diaper change for the first 24 hours just to make sure they could adjust their own temps at home with the new heat setting. After that we only take it if they feel warm :)

    We took it for a couple days every diaper change - just worried new parents.  Then went down to once a day, then to just when we were concerned.

    We did it for a couple days after Judith came home so we were sure she was regulating her body temperature in the new heat setting.  Once she was keeping her temp steady (probably about 2-3 days after she was home) we stopped taking it unless she felt warmer than normal.

    Thing 2 = May 2009, Stillborn 33weeks 4lbs 9oz 18in
    Thing 3 = October 2010, 27weeks 4days 2lbs 4oz 14.25in
