What is going on in Ohio?!!! (NBR)(NDHR)
I got up this morning and the news was already on and a story came on about a female athlete who suddenly died during her respected sport, then it went in to other stories about two other male athletes who also died (2 weeks ago) durning their sports also!
Then i started remembering my dad telling me about 4 Amish kids who had died a night before we had got here in Oh. Their buggie had been flipped by rushing water. And the other day he had mentioned 3 teens who had died in a car crash just down the road from my mom house. And last night there was a story on the news about 5 kids dying in a house fire...
That is 15 kids in a matter of 2-3 weeks that have all been taken too early... that just really bothered me...

I agree, try to step away from the media. People are dying right now, every second. That why we are having babies
I hate watching the news for the same reason. I heard about one boy who died but i think he was in Michigan

I think the 5 kids who died in the house fire are actually from Pennsylvania. And one of the male athletes was from southern MI (unless there are more I didn't know about). Regardless, its sucks. I don't think we go a week without some story about kids dying of something. And if we do, the story is about abuse of some kind or about an adult that was killed instead.
Right now the big story is about a guy that killed his gf's 26yo daughter, kidnapped a couple in their 80s and dumped their bodies on the side of the road states away. They caught him in West Virginia and are trying to extradiate him, but its taking forever. They think they've finally found the woman's body. Everytime something big happens, it comes up again.
Most of Ohio isn't bad. And its actually a quite safe place to live, there has just been a lot of bad things happen lately. (Wow, I sound like a travel brochure)
i actually never watch the new, so its not just me watching the news.
ive lived in Ohio my entire life. so i know its isnt that bad of a place to live. I just thought that 6 stories of kids dying in 2 weeks or so was kinda nuts.
I hate watching the news too, it just ends up irritating me, because I can not figure out why people abuse their kids, or significant others. why mothers kill their babies, and why men kill their girlfriends because 'he was always nagging me'. And it breaks my heart when i see kids die. So i just stopped watching the news all together.
Just wanted to make sure that you weren't getting offended by a non-offensive comment...
She didn't mean anything snarky by this, she just mean that all there seems to be on the news is negativity. (At least that's what I got out of it, Pandi correct me if I'm wrong.)
