13 weeks and still spotting

My doctors don't seem concerned, but everytime I see any discolored discharge I get worried. Every now and then I still have brownish tan spotting. I know they say to only be concerned if it's bright red, but it's still annoying.
Anyone else going through this?

I saw some brown spotting a few times and I asked my doctor about it, she didn't seem to be concerned at all. She said it happens, especially after sex. Mine came on about 12-24 hours after...she said it's your cervix protecting itself from a form of 'trauma' and not to be concerned unless it's red.

NOT to scare you at all, but to just let you know about my experience. When I was 11 weeks, I had a scare with bleeding (not spotting), and went to the ER. The DH and I had sex earlier that day, which the doc said caused the bleeding, and that it would go away. It took 3 days to stop bleeding, which ended in brown blood (old blood). Since then, I have randomly had brown spotting. At my 13 week appt., I told my doctor, who ended up looking over my 12 week ultrasound, and she said that my placenta was covering my cervix, which was causing the brown spotting. And I am now on pelvic rest, and am hoping as the cervix grows it will help the placenta not to cover it. If this doesn't help, I will end up most likely being put on bed rest, and having a C-Section. Not hoping this is you, and if your doctor says it's fine, then try not to worry. GOOD LUCK!

Last time with DD, I had bright red spotting about once a week all the way until it magically ended at the beginning of the third trimester. They never found a good reason other than what they called a "sensitive cervix". All ended up well and of course, now I kind of freak since I haven't had any spotting except at the very beginning that must have been implantation. :-/

I had bright red bleeding up until 16 weeks (not constantly, but probably 2x/week). Since baby was growing on track, my dr wasn't very concerned. Everything is still fine and DS is still growing appropriately. It's not a good feeling, though, when you see that.

I am having that problem. I woke up yesterday with it. it happens to some women through out the pregnancy. If your doc. dosn't show concern then I wouldn't be worried. Good Luck

I also have spotting. I spotted for 10 wks with my DD, and this time until 13 wks. I kept myself on bedrest just to be on the safe side.

This time at 10 weeks I also had bright red bleeding and some cramping over the weekend, so on Monday I went to the Dr. and he saw that I had a bleed behind the placenta. It took two weeks to heal up thank God!

I read online that 30% of women have spotting in the first trimester. This still does'nt make it any less scarier when it does happen, but atleast we know it happens to more people than we know about.
