  • I said other because I am fairly open. If someone asks I have no problem giving my opinion, but I wouldn't initiate a conversation about any of the topics.

  • I said "sexual history", but only because I feel like it's disrespectful for me to talk about my past now that I'm married, no matter who I'm talking to.  That said, I agree 100% with what Jen-Dale and mamaholic said.

  • I don't care about talking about any of those things, I don't find them taboo. Even though I don't find it taboo, I don't really like open discussions about children (aside from here). I feel like IRL everyone feels the need to convince everyone else that their parenting style is right or their kids are more advanced or whatever. It's just irritating. I really hate when someone who is already a parent asks me about Jackson because I feel like they just want to tell me what their kid was doing at that age!

  • It really depends who I'm talking to.  I have no problem talking about religion with people at church, for example.  :)  At work, I try to keep the Lord out of the conference room.  Talking about my sexual history among friends at the bar - ok.  At church?  Not so much.

  • Honestly, I try to avoid most of those subjects in real life. I'd rather talk about anything other than politics (though that may just be because I live in DC and my H is in politics and it's all you ever hear about around here and I get totally sick of it...). With close friends I don't mind talking about any of those so long as everyone can be respectful. If you can't agree to disagree on any of those subjects, then I'd rather just discuss the weather. I don't have the energy for heated, name-calling type debates that often result from many of those topics.
