Scared of other boards!!

SO seriously, I'm really just bumping tonight. Not really interested in doing anything else after I finished so much from my to do list today and wore myself out.

Since I'm just bumping, I decided to click on Natural Birth, and the first thing I read was this: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/50260226.aspx.

 AHHH!! Seriously? I have never seen anything like this on our board.

One of two times I went on 2nd tri, there was major drama too.

Is everyone mainly staying on here when we have outside babies? I know I sure am!!

    Um, yeah.  I was lurking around the 3-6 month board last week, and there was a GIGANTIC fight.  One post had almost 4,000 views, and the post was finally locked so nobody else could comment on it.  There were at least 10 pages of comments.  Once the post was locked, several people just kept starting new threads to keep it going.  It was insane.  I do like that they seem to know each other a lot better though..I think it's because they talk about things other than pregnancy/babies, and just have random posts about things like..your least favorite chore or your annoying habit.  I kind of wish this board did that more often.

    I don't even think that's all that bad?

     

     

    Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)

    This is def the friendlier place to be. I stick to this board mostly because i feel we have the most in common. Though I do enjoy a good random hormonal cyber cat fight ;)

    I definitely think our board is the best although the single parent board is awesome too! I have checked out other months boards and they seem pretty boring.

    I am due on the 31st of March and thought I might as well go to the April boards when i fist started on thebump. Everytime I posted something, there were cruel people making fun of me. There are some really mean people on that board. I am sticking with March even if my girl is late!

    lurking is the best for other boards.....there can be some crazy fights/comments

    Yeah, some people are just rude. And it can bleed over into our board. Someone said something rude to me about the spelling of my LO's name and my post did not have anything to do with names. LO's name is not a you-nique spelling, it is a legit Irish spelling. It's common in Ireland, just not here. This was on this board, but from someone that had their baby 2 months ago and was never on this board to begin with. 

    I'm a very nice person and I tend to have very thin skin, so I'm staying right here.

    Oh wow. I've never lurked on other boards before but I don't really understand the need for that. I told my husband that I love these boards because I'm talking to other women going through the exact same thing as me- I'd be completely off the boards if someone like Stellar talked to me like that.

    That being said, I'm totally lurking to see if there are other fights like this!

    That was my post...and luckily I didn't have to see what she said originally because I already have her blocked. I actually had all of the mean posters blocked and I only saw their replies because people quoted them.  Don't think that the natural board is like that based on my post. That board is nice and snark-free like this board.

    You would be surprised how many BGP members are around here.  Not all of them like long sigs with badges.  

    Interesting that you like your warm little safe board, yet I specifically remember you as of the the snottiest posts I've read.  Do you recall making a post about how people had better not get you anything that isn't on your registry, and you will wipe up poop with the onesies if they get the wrong sports team, and then post them on FB for them to see??
