EVERYONE thinks that I am saying "Nathan" when I say DS's name (Mason).
Funny story- when DH called his mom after Mason was born and told her his name, she emailed all of her family and friends saying that his name was "Nathan"
Hopefully that won't be an issue his entire life!
Re: s/o "sounds like"
Ugh! Annoying! Happens to me all.the.time. Hannah = Tanya (like tan-yuh not tawn-yuh) Janna (I don't think that's even a real name) but mostly Anna.
LOL, I had a really interesting run in with a hearing impaired police officer several years ago. He got really mad at me for 'lying' about my name... I must have corrected him 10 times when finally decided my name was Tanya - then he looked at my driver's license and got all angry and yelled "Why did you lie to me about your name?" Um. Duh.
Hopefully people start getting M's name right!!!! Maybe you should get him some little custom shirts to wear with it on there so people can see it
haha Annoying! I use to work at a doctors office answering phones I would say "This is Hayley, may I help you?" People would always call me "Ava." Never made sense to me.... Hayley & Ava sound nothing alike!
Does anyone else think "Allison" sounds like "halibut"?
Anyway, people often think Jonah's name is "Jonas" and I've been asked several times if he was named after the Jonas brothers.

MIL, FIL and SFIL all called DD "Brooks" for what seemed like forever. I got sick of correcting them. I though we'd picked a pretty basic name, guess not! I actually don't think SFIL actually remembers her name because he never calls her anything at all.
My name of course I've had Melinda, Melissa, Miranda, Marybell (yea that one came outta left field)... I know my name isn't common but you'd think with Grey's Anatomy people would finally start getting it right!
my name is Rachel.
I get Lisa and Teresa. ALL THE TIME.
I have no idea how they do it.
