  I'm new here, too! DH and I are going to start TTC #1 this summer, before he deploys in Sept. So if it doesn't happen in the first few months, it's put on hold until April... my fingers are crossed for this summer!

  Good luck!

  We talked about trying before but I wanted to wait. Though some days I wish I hadn't, lol. But it was the best choice for us at the time.

  So, I noticed on your ticker you've been married for 1 year, 3 months, and 3 days...and I've been married for 3 months and 3 day! You got married exactly a year before me. Crazy world, lol.

  I totally didn't notice that before, but that is pretty awesome! We're anniversary buddies, haha

  We went back and forth over whether or not to try for our first year of marriage... whenever I wanted to start, he wasn't ready, and when he wanted to, I wasn't! We're finally on the same page now, it's very exciting. Plus, being pregnant while he's deployed would give me even more to look forward to!

  We're actually waiting because he's deployed. He wanted to try before and I thought about it but decided I wanted him here. I think he was secretly hoping to miss out on the downsides of pregnancy, like the mood swings and such, lol. But I told him he's gonna put up with it whether he likes it or not, just like he's gonna have to put up with changing diapers once we do have a baby, lol. He so desperately doesn't wanna change diapers but I refuse to be the only one to do it, lol. It's really funny when he tries to convince me though, he cracks me up with his fake temper tantrums. Which I suppose is exactly why he does it, lol. But anyways, I was afraid he wouldn't be here when the baby was born and, while some people can handle that just fine, I don't think I would be one of them, lol. So, we're waiting. It's nice having something else to look forward to for when he gets home, but at the same time, it just makes me want him home that much more, lol.

  So happy to see that there are other people planning to try for #1 later this year, but have still joined the bump! I feel a bit presumptuous, but just typing that last sentence makes me giddy! I'm trying to remind myself that this is my last summer of freedom to keep my mind off of it! So exciting, though!

  It is really exciting! I absolutely can't wait! Lol.

  And I think joining before TTC is a great idea because you can get lots of tips and advice. There's all kinds of checklists and stuff plus the ovulation calendar. and I found an article that talked about the different kinds of vitamins to make sure you were getting and that's how I found out I needed to get an extra calcium supplement to go along with my regular multi vitamin. It's a great site and it's never too soon to make sure you're doing everything you can to be healthy and ready for baby when the time comes. :-)
