I haven't been on much lately. Why do you need a c-section if a VBAC doesn't happen before then?
I grow very large babies. DD was over 9 pounds and got stuck in the birth canal. Dr won't let me try to delivery a baby over 8 pounds...and I agree with his decision. If at 36 weeks he's measuring around 7lbs, we'll plan for a VBAC between 36-39 weeks. If he's measuring too big, we'll just plan on a c-section if I go into labor before April 25th.
Congratulations! My dad has money down that the girls come on the 24th so we will see. I haven't had anything scheduled yet but they won't let me go past the first week in May!
I soooo hope for you that you get a vbac!! I got one with my second and loved it! I was ready to give birth after being done with him lol but seriously totally different then csection! Also my dr did induce. She said that she likes to control and monitor her vbacs. I was induced right at 39 weeks. I was given pit but no cervix soften drugs bc of the potential of rupturing or softening my csection site. There has been research that if induced the right way it only slightly increases chances of rupture. I was at the point that I knew I had my heart set on a vbac and if the drs were watching me close enough it was worth it for me. So excited for u!

My doc won't even consider the pitocin, and honestly, after being on a heavy pitocin drip for 3 days with DD, I don't want anything to do with that!

wow well that's just stupid! My dr was logically about it and wouldn't have let me lay there too long. Sorry u had to go thru that!

Eh, I was young (19) and didn't know any better...the whole pregnancy was a whirlwind of drama for me, so at that point, laying in misery for 3 days seemed completely ordinary. Ha!
I didn't know that I could request a c-section after so long...that I didn't have to almost die to have one.

Not to alarm you, but I think you might be having one, too.
