Baby moved back up?

I wonder if I'm starting to lose my mind, but I swear that after dropping down (in fact, every time I see my co-worker who works only Tuesdays and Thursdays, she's said the baby is lower every time) - the baby actually moved BACK UP while I was sleeping last night!  I can feel that I'm carrying differently.  To be honest, this is more comfortable, and I could get out of bed without my legs knocking against the baby bump.  But is this even possible?  My husband insists I don't look any different, but a different co-worker (who I don't spend much time around) commented this morning that my baby hasn't even dropped despite the fact my due date is so soon!

Has anyone experienced anything at all like this?  Maybe I am losing my mind.  I'll see my doctor tomorrow morning, so I guess I'll know more then...

  • Oh wow, I'm going to look it up and read about it online.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind - and that my baby had somehow decided she didn't want to be born after all!  I'll definitely let you know what my doctor says.  I'm glad I'm not the only one!

  • I'm having the same problem! I've carried my baby super low for the longest, but now he thinks staying in my ribs is more fun! I was beginning to think he was confused on which way is out.... I go to the doc tomorrow and I plan on asking what's going on....
  • You aren't crazy. At my appt today my Dr said the baby can still move up and down right up until you go into labor.  My LO didn't have his head down in my pelvis today but I know there have been days were I have felt him very low.  So don't worry about it. The main thing is the baby is head down Wink

That is good to know. All of my coworkers keep telling me that the baby hasn't dropped yet, so labor isn't coming anytime soon. I guess I got it in my head that he had to drop in order for labor to start.

I feel like he's lower today. I have more room between my boobs and my bump, but no one else sees it. But I don't feel like I'm carrying him any differently. I've heard that it feels different when they drop. Right?

  • LO has done this to me- some days she's super low, some days she back up. I feel a lot more pressure on the days she's low.
