Dumb summer pj question.

What do your 2 year old girls sleep in during the summer?  Emma's always slept in short sleeved onesies and a lightweight cotton sleepsack, but that's going to be a thing of the past once we move her to her "big girl room."  Does she have to wear pjs with some sort of pants, or is there a better way to make sure she doesn't freeze while she sleeps?

Some folks like to get summer PJs and then winter PJs. We keep the inside temperature about the same year round, so to me it doesn't really matter. So in years past Kate has worn her PJs (mostly Gymboree gymmies with long sleeves and pants ... or similar) year round. We do have some shorts PJs that are more summery, but it's not really a big deal when we wear them. I guess the exception would be fleece footed PJs--probably don't wear those much in the summer (but I wouldn't put it past me--I have been known to wear my winter coat in the middle of July in air-conditioned buildings ... brrrrr!)

  • Same as kep.  We keep the temp the same all year so he wears the same thing regardless.  Usually carters pj sets that my mom buys at the outlet.  They are usually pants and long sleeve shirts but sometimes have a t-shirt.  He has a few fleece pants for winter but he sweats so much in them that I don't put them on him unless its REALLY cold.
