I'm not 100% set on home daycare - but they are generally a lot more wallet friendly. I love the center he goes to now but it's just outrageously priced (in my opinion). Also, I feel like the center is always at max capacity and shuffeling around kids to help keep in ratio. For the price I'm paying I feel like I should be head-over-heels in love with the place, which I'm not - so we're looking to make a move. I'm up for center recs too, but we've already crossed the Winwood/Beantree type places off the list.
Near 7/28 - Goddard School - it is no where near wallet friendly - trust me I know as next week I will have 2 kids enrolled instead of 1. However, we have been there almost 3 years with DD and love it. The teachers are really great and DD thrives there. I looked at a LOT of centers in the vacinity (I live in Cascades) and I had the best gut feel here and have been very happy with our decision.
Funny you say that - that is where my son is currently enrolled. When does your LO start? I assume they would be in the same class, but I haven't seen any new children. He's been there since he was 4/5 months old and we LOVED the infant room but I haven't been quite as in love with the Infant 2 room which is why we're switching. Nothing terrible, I just feel like I should absolutely love the place he goes (especially since we're paying what we're paying - I'm sure know what I mean).
Anyways - we're enrolled through the end of the month, so I guess our little ones will be buddies for the next few weeks.
Re: Daycare in Loudoun - help!!!
I don't have any recomendations on a in-home daycare in that area, but I was curious as to why you are switching from a center to in-home?
