Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Question for my Catholic homies

We're planning on going to Ash Wednesday mass tonight at 7pm. Based on DH's and my work schedules this was the only service we can make it to. Problem is DS's bed time is around 6:30 and we don't have anyone close by to watch him while we go to mass. Would it be bad to take DS to church in his pajamas so he can fall asleep there and we can just move him from the car to the crib afterward?

Re: Question for my Catholic homies

  • That's what I'm doing. I have to go it alone, so I'm just putting her in pj's and taking her in the infant carrier. She'll probably be wide awake for it though; she loves church.

  • I don't see any problem with PJs in church.

This is the exact reason why we cannot go to Ash Wednesday Mass. DD would be a nightmare if we tried to bring her to church after her bedtime. There is no way she'd fall asleep, she's too nosey.

This.  I tried to go to church on my lunch break but just didn't get out of the office in time.  DD would have a meltdown!
