update to checking in

So when I got to my appointment my bp was 160/108! So they had me rest and retook it and it was 130/90 which is much better. My dr. had me get some blood work done which he should get the results later today or tomorrow morning. They checked my urine and I'm not spilling protein. My NST went great and baby looks fine. So he sent me home on modified bed rest and we're changing my meds from Lovenox to Heparin now instead of at 36 weeks which is when he normally would switch it. He also wants me to come in twice a week for NST instead of just once. So for now it looks like we're going to try and manage my bp w/ bed rest (which I'm not sure how we're going to make that work w/ 2 LO) if my bp continues to go up we may try some meds (for ds#2 I was on labetalol for a while) Thanks for all the  T&P.

  • GL with the bedrest...I know how hard that must be with 2 little ones at home. Do you have anyone who can help out?

  • Well, this is reassuring.  Hang in there, mama!  Glad you've got a plan, and that the babe is cookin' a bit longer.  {hugs}
  • Thankfully I have many friends who are willing to help out. However, most of them have kids too, which would be great as they could help entertain my boys except right now DS#1 has a fever. So I'm hesitant for any of them to come over b/c I don't want to get their kids sick too. I think today will be one of those rare tv days.
