Greek yogurt is strained so it is a lot thicker than normal yogurt. Usually it has less sugar, but they're starting to make tons of flavored varieties so I'm sure that's changing.

Greek Yogurt is strained through muslin cloth. You can read about it on Wiki or just google greek yogurt vs. regular yogurt. Mostly Greek is smoother and way higher in protien, so you feel full longer. It is higher in butter fat than regular, which is a good thing while prego! I just really like it better too.
Greek is thicker and I think it tastes more like a sour cream than yogurt, which I love. Like someone else said, it also has a pretty good amount of protein in it so it makes it more nutritionally rich.

I love greek yogurt, probably because it is thicker!! I am a big hater of no-fat or low-fat yogurt b/c I find it is so sour!
I'm not sure about the US, but in Canada there's a brand of greek yogurt called liberte and they make a lemon flavour which my DH absolutely loves. It's also yummy with honey and walnuts (although someone told me that honey may not be the safest thing for us to eat right now...)

How funny, I have been wondering the same darn thing every time I see a greek yogurt commercial and keep meaning to look it up!!!
