I just got a couple cheapy regular ones for while I was pg since my band size went up more than anything, and then it will go back after baby is born. Wait to get nursing bras til AFTER your milk comes in. Maybe just get one for when baby first arrives, or get nursing tanks. Your cup size with be 2-3 times bigger than you are used to when your milk comes in, and then after a couple weeks it will settle down to a more realistic size. That's when you should get good/ nice bras, imo. Then you dont waste your money on ones that dont fit (like I did with my first baby). Plus, if your nursing bras dont fit properly they can cause clogged ducts etc. hth!

I got a few bras at Target for like.. 12 bucks each. They have no underwire, and are way comfy. I couldn't believe I went from barely filling out an A, to exploding from a B.

All of this. My bra size changed twice during pregnancy, so I was glad that I just picked up some comfy plain ones at Target that I won't feel bad about tossing one day if I never fit them again. I picked up one nursing bra a few days after E arrived, and after about 2-3 weeks it didn't really fit properly. You really probably won't be leaving the house much after birth, so you'll be fine with just one or two stretchy-type nursing bras and some tanks until your milk regulates and you're ready to get fitted.
Great advice so far, especially waiting to buy nursing bras. Get a tank to wear home from the hospital and get your bras after your milk is in.
I got fitted at Nordstrom's early on and was clear I was pregnant, they got me in a great bra that had some stretch. By third tri I bought some cheapie extenders at Target and those worked awesome and made the two Nordy's bras I got last my entire pregnancy.
And, now that I'm done nursing, those bras are coming in super handy again. I ended up going back to where I was when I was pregnant. I hate bras without support so I was glad I spent the money on two good ones that fit.
I didn't have good luck at Bellevue Nordstrom when I was pregnant - the saleperson didn't fit me right for being pregnant (like fitting on the tightest loop so you have a couple notches to go out - opposite of normal). I ended up taking them back to Southcenter and had a much better experience.
So my tip is go to nordstrom, but if they don't feel right once you get home (or a week later) take them back and get re-measured.
Thanks Ladies! I was dumb and the sales associate at motherhood suggested I get a nursing bra even though she knew I was only 12 weeks. She just wanted the sale! I won't be spending that kind of money on bras that will only fit me for a few month!
