Success after IF

2nd Beta Doubled!

I am so excited :) The nurse has not actually called yet but I saw it online! I know it varies, but when do they normally have patients come in for an u/s? Will that be next or will they want another beta?

1st was 7dp5dt = 86

2nd was 9dp5dt = 183

Thanks so much for any insight!

  • I was told by my nurses that in order to see the sac the numbers need to be around 2000-3000. But that's just an estimate, it can vary. My third beta was today and it was 5,900 (I'm 4weeks and 4 days) and we're doing an u/s next week to see if we can see the heartbeat. Every doctor is different in their approach. Just call them and ask, they understand our anxiety.
  • that's great! congrats!

What cool place did you find it online??? that's awesome!

My RE does 2 betas, 2 days apart- then the next one is a week later.... then another week after that- until about 8w.

  • my RE's office has what's called a patient portal, and they put all your info on it so even after they call you can recheck something if you forgot what they said. I happen to check it early to see if they put info up early and they did today!
  • Woohoo, that's great!

  • Ok the nurse finally called and I got my answer :) They will do an u/s next friday! I am excited but not expecting to see much as I will only be 5w2d But at least I know what is next now!
  • That is great news!  Congrats!
