I'm just worn out. DH and I both looked at the clock in the car as we pulled into the garage tonight. 6:07 pm. The problem? We left at exactly 6:07 am this morning. And that is "normal." Our life is insane right now. I only go into the office 3 days a week now but even so... those 3 days are a marathon. Thank God for the crockpot tonight and bless you Josie for that white bean chicken chili recipe! Otherwise it would have been a cheerios kind of dinner. Tomorrow is Sweet Tomatoes night. Never thought I would look forward to a salad bar so much!
Re: Tough day
I feel ya, sister. I'm up at 5:30, the rest of the house is up at 6 and then it's go go go until Geneva's bedtime at 7:30 p.m. And being in the first trimester? Suuuuuuucks! I get off work at 4, rush to pick up Geneva and then I have dinner staring me in the face. Not to mention, my oven's broken - so no easy out there.
I just keep telling myself that I'll pull it together in a couple weeks. And THEN I can prepare myself for the insanity of two kids.
No, I didn't!!! OMG, apparently Gavin's OTHER ear is hurting him now. He screamed for 4 hours straight and could not be calmed. Finally got him to pass out at 12:45 with me in his bed with him. Then Sophie woke up at 2:45 to eat. And then our commute this morning was a record 2.5 hours. The house is going on the market next week. No joke.
Same schedule for us. Seems like we don't even have time to sit and relax when we get home.
You need to move immediately!! Obviously easier said than done but that is ridiculous. You can't spend your life being a zombie.
SLW - take the house in Hapeville. STAT! Good Lord. I remember the days of driving 1+ hours each way and I was homicidal. And that was without kids.
Also, there are some stellar properties for sale in College Park right now.
Hahahaha! My mom's Hapeville house IS currently on the market. But it's too small for us- it's only 3 bedrooms and we need at least 4. We are buying the inlaws humongous house in Fayetteville. They are giving us a great deal that we couldn't pass up. They are so awesome :-) I'm actually afraid it's TOO big- 4K+ sq ft! Can't believe we are going back to the southside- we swore we wouldn't. It's a short term move though. We plan to finish up their renovations (not much left- just the master bath and removing a lot of wallpaper) and reselling it in 2-3 years. This way I can be near all my family while my kids are little and I need the help. Plus, I can be down there to help out with my grandparents as well- running errands and stuff. And my inlaws are moving into their lake house and will also buy a second house in FL- which will be nice for us too :-) It's a tough pill to swallow but it really is a win win situation and will be nice to be back with all my family. We are so sad to leave Acworth though. I kinda think we may come back some day- we just love it up there.
Awesome! That's fabulous! The I-85 drive can be a little nasty, but nothing like what you have now. And for the record, there ain't nothing wrong with the Southside.
And being near grandparents is worth its weight in gold. My folks are in Jonesboro and sometimes they're still not close enough.
Good luck with everything!
