I finally became a mommy...in March!

I'm so excited that we have a baby GIRL!! Ruby Joyce was born March 2nd @5:45pm. She was 9lbs 5oz, 21in!!!

I went in Wednesday morning at 8am for an induction. When I got there I was already 5cm and was contracting every 4-5minutes, and had no idea! I also had a fever, which I had no idea about either- I felt fine. It definitely looked like this baby was planning on coming on Wednesday regardless of an induction or not!

The doc ordered me an epi pretty much right away but I didn't take it until about 12pm. By 1:30pm I was fully dilated already. I labored for a little while longer to help move the baby further down. By 3:50pm I started pushing, and pushing, and pushing! At about 5pm the doctor decided the best thing for me and the baby was to go ahead to do a c-section. My fever had gone up, the baby wasn't moving any further down and her heartbeat started increasing as well.

I was so scared for the c-section and very upset that things were not going as planned. However, somewhere in the back of my head I knew the whole time that I was going to end up with a c-section, I just really really wanted to deliver vaginally.

Anyway, soon after entering the OR, my beautiful BIG baby girl was born!! I spent 4 days in the hospital, and now we are home adjusting to our new lives.
