My cycles are normally 31 days, sometimes stretching to 33. Once, during a really stressful time I got all the way to 36. Today I'm at 36 - I have not been stressed this past month. I've taken two Target pregnancy tests (Sunday and today) and both were stark white. I don't chart anymore (because what's the point when you're dealing with infertility?) so I don't know when or if I ovulated. At what point should I talk to a doctor?
And BTW, on an emotional level, this is killing me. My body should not be playing these types of tricks on me - I already have to deal with infertility and now it's trying to give me false hope. I hate this. Oh, and now that I've posted this, AF will probably show up today and make this all a "moo" point.

Re: No BFP, No AF - When to call doctor?
I had that happen a few times. The medical community doesn't consider it a problem until you've missed three cycles. Of course, the medical community doesn't necessarily grasp the emotional turmoil that this can cause.
I'd give it another month, maybe chart to make sure you O, and if still nothing, call then. I'm sorry. I hated those long cycles.

I was thinking the same thing as IG. I don't know anything really about IF, but you do and you know that this isn't the norm for you, so I'd call.
Goodluck, I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be for you.
I had the same thing happen back in September. I took 8 tests and called my doctor when I was about a week late. They had me come in to take a blood test and when it came back negative, they said to call back if I didn't start within the next week. My period started five days later. I went from 30/31 day cycles to 36 after that. It was weird.
::Hugs:: I'm so sorry you haven't had a clear answer yet. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Give your doctor a call and see what they say. Please keep us posted!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one entertained by "moo point"
Ugh, huge hugs.
Are you seeing an RE? I would call and ask them for a blood test.
You mentioned you aren't under any stress, but are you still training for your marahon? How many miles a week are you logging?
That must be very frustrating!
I am kind of impatient... I'd test with one of the FR 6 days early tests (even though I know they don't necessarily tell you 6 days before your period) and wait until Thurs morning. If still in the same situation Thrus I'd call to see if I could come in and get a blood test before the weekend.
How frustrating! Do you still have a relationship with your RE's office? I agree that I would call and see if they'd do a beta. NCRS charged $105 (OOP) for betas, so I'm not sure what you're office would charge or if your insurance covers it as pregnancy coverage (vs IF). Something to consider, but it could also give you peace of mind. Or perhaps something you might opt to do after a few more days or weeks of waiting.
And Sarah has a good point about training for a marathon. We know that exercise can throw off your cycle.
Sending hugs as you decide what to do!

It's a GIRL! Lydia Marie!
Thanks everyone for all the support. I didn't mean to post and run, just had a busy day. I'm truly touched by all the replies!
I haven't spoken to the RE in quite a few months, so I'll probably wait another week or so and then call the regular OB/GYN to see what they have to say. I completed my marathon in October and am not planning on starting training for the next one until this summer. But I did spend January/February running long distances (I was training for a 16 miler that I ran on February 13.) So I suppose that could have delayed ovulation for a week or two, although it's never been a problem before. Finally, can I BE any more glad that people on this board know what "moo point" refers to? Thanks again!
