Just wondering how big of a baby shower your having...I've seen people go all out and then I've seen people have small get togethers...I'm not sure on the size of mine yet since I still haven't made up the list!! I need to get on that!
Hopefully not too many...but I have a feeling my mother (who is throwing it) will once again invite a bunch of her friends. I will have much more say over the guest list for the work one.

about 30 at the family shower since DH's family has not offered to do anything (so i had to add them to my family shower) i really wanted two smaller get togethers. i had everyone at my bridal shower and it was really hard to talk to everyone. oh well. i feel blessed for what i have been given.
Probably aboutt 50. It's for both sides of the family. I'm sure there will be a small gathering at work and I am very close to some former co-workers and I'm sure they will do a small shower for me as well.

I am having 2 showers. One friend and one family. They will both have about 20 people. I prefer smaller gatherings and when my BFF looked at the cost of renting a place large enough, it was definitely easer to have 2 showers. I am very lucky having such a good friend that is throwing both

The first time I had 2 showers. One back home with family and friends there and it was about 25 people in attendance. Then one where I live that had 10 people.
This time my friend is throwing me a luncheon sprinkle with probably 8 to 10 people. Just a nice small celebration of my little boy after my little girl
my friends one is between 12 and 15 - i had 2 showers one for family (which didn't go ahead..... long story - damn MIL) and one for friends - I kinda wanted to keep them seperate so it wasn't too big and i had time to spend with each of the guests without it being too rushed.

MIL invited 24 people (because that is all she has room for) but I think only half will attend, so around 12 people.
The shower with my family will be around 20 people, maybe a few more.
My church shower will probably be 25-40 people.
If I have another shower with local friends (several offered to throw one when I first found out I was pregnant but no one has mentioned it in a while) it will probably be 12-18 people.
Two showers for me, one hosted by my mother and the second hosted by my mother in law. Each 20-30 guests. I wanted two so I would have the chance to relax and spend time with everyone. Also didn't want to be opening gifts for most of the whole shower...

We're just having one shower w/ family and friends. My family alone is pretty large, so after you add DH's family and our closest friends + their children, we're sitting pretty at ~90 people. It's also co-ed, and it's more of a party than a shower.
DH's Family - have no idea since MIL hasn't said a word (fine by me)
Friend Shower - 10 are invited, I am guessing 8 will show. I am really looking forward to having my closest girlfriends together before the baby comes.
My shower feels like a small wedding... my guest list is at 100 so around 70-80 show up.. i have a huge family that list includes maybe 15 friends.. gotta love family!
My shower for DD1 was massive. I'm talking 120 people, at a hall, and it was catered w/an open bar.
My mom & MIL hosted, and since DH and I have lived in the same towns our whole lives, and most of our family is local, we didn't really have a choice in the matter.
It was nice because we got everything we registered for & more... but, I spent over 3 hours (!!!) opening presents and barely had time to talk to anyone other than to say hello and thanks for coming.
I didn't have anything for DD2 (there was no need after the first ridiculous shower) and my mom is insisting in having a "sprinkle" for this baby. She agreed to host it at her home and keep the guest list under 40. It will be grandmothers, aunts, first cousins and close friends only!
I am having 2. my mil is having one last sunday of march and my mom is having one mid april. at mil about 25 and at my moms there were 41 invites sent out.
Ours is going to be pretty big. We invited around 65 people and 37 RSVP'ed already. This includes my side family, his side of family, my friends, his friends, and my parents friends (who I grew up with). I did not invite co-workers though.

I'm having one joint shower with mine + DH's families and a few close friends. Both our families are huge, so our invite list is at about 75 people...I'm hoping the final guest count will be much less, as the capacity of the room is exactly 75 people!! Yikes..

My mom and soon to be MIL and SIL are throwing me one big shower. It will be a combo of my family and friends and my FI's family, there are about 90 people being invited but I'm thinking about 70 will be attending.

Re: How many people at your baby shower?
We are inviting around 35, but I have a feeling around 15-20 will end up coming (quite a few are out of town, but we're sending invites anyway).
I am having two showers -- a family/family friends one and a friends one. There should be approximately 20 people +/- at each shower.
I prefer to be smaller like this so I have a chance to talk to everyone and really celebrate with them.

Having two. One will be 20-25, for friends and co-workers.
The other is my MIL's extended family, and will be anywhere from 30 to 60 people.

30 at one and around 15 at the other
I think a lot of the ppl from the bigger one won't come so it won't be as big as it could be.

Shower 1: about 30 (45 invited)
Shower 2: about 10 people (intimate friends shower)
Shower 3: who knows... it's my mom's family and my dad's family so it could be really massive... or they're flaky so it could be small

My sisters are throwing it for me and they invited 36 people. However, I know for a fact that 5 of those people won't be attending.
My husbands family lives on the West Coast and they are all coming to our town this summer for another shower. That shower will be close to 60 people!
