Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

A great quote...

It saddens me to say that I have a facebook friend who today had to announce her loss on fb after weeks of happy thoughts and updates. She did share her sonogram pic and a beautiful quote.

An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth & whispered as she closed the book: " Too Beautiful for this Earth."

We may never understand why these things happen but my hope is that each of us find peace and acceptance. T&P are with you all.

Re: A great quote...

  • What are your thoughts on putting quotes on facebook? I am finding that it is helping me to get support from my fb friends, but I don't want to overdo it. I've put 3 on in teh last week (lost baby last week) b/c when I find a great quote I feel the need to share it. I actually put that same quote last night.

Do you think ppl get sick of seeing those quotes?

I am sorry for your loss.

I think if it is something you feel helps bring you peace then go right a head and post. I decided not to share our pregnancy publicly because I knew going into it I had a high risk of miscarrying. However, after it happened I did put up the same quote I have on here. I just so happen to have been reading Tony Dungy's "Quiet Strength"  and he talks about the loss of his son so I borrowed the quote.

Ultimately, some people will give you the comfort that helps you and others will roll their eyes. Because those people don't understand the hurt and think that moving on is as simple as washing your hands.

I think it's nice to share quotes on FB.  A girl I graduated high school with has a son with terminal cancer and she posts quotes at least once a week related to it.  I don't get tired of them at all and it's a great reminder to keep him in my prayers.  It also reminds me the stupid things that stress me out during the day are really nothing compared to the struggles others may endure.

    I agree with PP.

    Inspirational quotes = Good.

Constant Debbie Downer statuses about the same thing (My job sucks; ugh, my kid is sick again) = Eye roll.
