March 2011 Moms

one of my friends is driving me nuts

in the last 4 or 5 days one of my girlfriends has texted me 4 times asking if i was a mom yet or if noelle was born.  last night she texted me wanting to make sure i text her after the baby is born so she knows, i said of course.  so i get another text today from her asking if i was a mom yet.  she needs to chillax!  my due date is this thursday and i go to the doctors tomorrow and hope to see what our plan is.

in the meantime the baby is moving like crazy, she doesn't have much room left so i just feel my belly moving like jello and i can feel her head pressing against my cervix and butt and it feels like my vagina is being pushed out.....i'm sure she hardly has any room left.

Re: one of my friends is driving me nuts

  • I have two friends that are like this.  I finally put my foot down and told them to stop.  I was more anxious than them and they weren't helping.

Why do they think that I would keep her birth a secret?  Craziness...

  • i know right, just now i had another friend ask if she was here yet.  MIL keeps reminding DH that we have to call them as soon as we head to the hospital, he keeps teasing her saying he forgot her number and she is number 4 on the list.  the only one not going crazy is my mom, hadn't heard from her in a few days so i called her , but she told me to call her after my doctor appt tomorrow to know what the plan is.

  • It's only going to get worse as you move closer/past your due date, trust me!

I've taken to sending a pre-emptive message out to a dozen or so people every morning so they will leave me alone.  That doesn't even work!

  • I feel your pain! It will be okay. My guy friend (friend to both me and DH) who is also an EMT is more excited then anyone I know. He texts me daily about how I'm feeling, whether or not I'm having contractions, and whether or not I've had the baby. He went with us on a walk today to help move things along (he lives right down the street) and the whole time kept saying how he hopes to be with us when I go into labor. I keep trying to explain to him that it doesnt happen that fast but being an EMT he somehow seems to think I'll just pop the baby out sooo fast that he will HAVE to deliver it. lol. I think everyone just gets so excited that someone they know will be having a baby soon they wish it would just happen already. But they dont understand that we are more tired of waiting then they are! lol.
