I had heard about a smartphone application for timing contractions, so I figured I'd check it out. I downloaded 2 and tested them the other day and hope to use them in labor. It's so easy! you just push "start" at the start of your contrax, then "end" when it's over. It notes the start, times the duration, frequency and breaks and keeps a running log. You can also add in when your water broke, and any other notes you want. There's even a feature to email the record if you want. (I just downloaded the 2 free ones in the droid market- htere are tons of them out there.)
I don't know if i'll be using it, or maybe i'll make hubby do it for me? but it seems easier than trying to time and keep track in my head!
Re: there's an app for that! PSA
my bf downloaded one for his iphone and we used it during my contractions! it really helped because i would just go START and STOP and it kept the duration and frequency of them. then we could run around the house and finish throwing stuff in the bag between contractions. i didn't have to worry about looking at a clock when i was in the shower or whatever. i could just focus on breathing through the contraction.
