I'll say Hola first, since I haven't posted in EONS, and then I post twice in such a short while! ![]()
This summer is our tenth wedding anniversary (Whoa!) (we've been together 18 years, known each other 21).
We've been thinking of going back to Vegas. It's got sooo much to do that it seems to be a much better value for our money.
We want to go back to Europe some day, but in order to do it well, we'd need time and a lot more money to spend.
So, I'm thinking Vegas it is...
We've gone twice and we've been to:
The Grand Canyon (although we would love to go back for a helicopter ride)
Hoover Dam
O
Ka
Lion King
Blue Man Group
Lance Burton
Do you have any recommendations of other shows to see? Places to go? Places to eat?! ![]()
We're not gamblers OR big drinkers...
Thanks!!!
Re: Need anniversary travel ideas! :)
I lurve Vegas! We go every year.
Food recs: Serendipity 3's frozen hot chocolate (just outside of Caesar's); Paris' Le Village buffet (weekend champagne brunch is awesome); India Masala (near Circus Circus) has awesome food & they even have South Indian (DH is from Madras) dishes.
Day Trip: we rented a car & went to Zion Nat'l Park in Utah one year. Awesome! About a 3 hour drive. No cars allowed in the park; they have clean energy shuttles that run throughout the park, picking up & dropping off people @ designated spots so you can hike & explore @ your own pace. We went to Death Valley last year; about a 2 hour drive & you can drive in the park. Between the 2 parks I'd go with Zion FWIW.
PS: if you have the frozen hot chocolate, don't take Metformin that night if you have PCOS; I speak from experience.
I saw the Price is Right which was really cheesy, but super fun! I even got called to "come on down!".
I also was pretty loaded and with my grandma... not sure if you guys would get into that
Table 10 in Palazzo. It's an Emeril restaurant and the jambalaya was in-cred-i-bull.

Are you outdoorsy types? I kayaked part of the CO River the last time I was there and had a blast.
The last time I was there, I had an amazing dinner at Picasso at the Bellagio. God, it was good.
Bookmarking and making notes!
Thanks girls...
Hey I went to that too!! DH and I were in Vegas w/ my bro and SIL and we had such a great time.
Vegas is fun and cheap, but you can also do day trips.
Have you ever been to Southern CA? DH and I are going to Orange County next month for a long weekend, maybe do a day trip to Catalina Island. We're really looking forward to that. Have fun and happy anniversary!!

Oh, if there was a way to make it work, I can tell you my husband wouldn't mind you crashing our vacay for a bit!
We've been known to spend our anniversaries with people we love. And, I just KNOW my husband would LOVE you!
So, just saying...
