Birth Prep Classes? St. Mary's, Yoga Child, etc

Hi Everyone,

We're beginning to look into classes for the spring summer and wanted to know if any bumpies had recommendations.  Also a few questions.

1. Do you need to be delivering at a hospital (say PA Hosp or St Mary's) to take their classes? I didn't think so, but someone hinted at it.

2. Has anyone taken the Yoga Child classes? good, bad, etc?

3. Does anyone know if Lower Bucks offers classes - I can't find a think on their website!

The other we're considering is Blossoming Bellies but we live in Bucks Co so may take a combo of closer ones and some one offs in Philly. Also in the market for a doula if anyone has recs....thanks!

  • For my first child, I took my birthing classes through Lower Bucks.  My dr. gave me a handout with the info about the Lower Bucks classes (since that's where I delivered).

  • I took my birthing classes and have attended the yoga with baby and tummy time classed with my infant son - the mommy and me classes are free!!!!  The yoga is super cheap $25 and the birthing classes were good as well...highly recommend them and no you don't have to deliver at St. Mary's to attend the classes...check out the parent resource center at St. mary's on the web for info.
