Kolby is at this stage where he wants to feed himself. No I am not giving him a spoon and a bowl of sweet potato mush for him to eat. It isn't happening!!! I can do messes, but I am not ready for that one yet.
What finger foods can I do? I have green beans, carrots, puffs, yogurt bites, bannanas, peaches, and a few others. He is 8 months and he likes a lot of different foods. Just need to find a few things to add to his menu.
TIA!
Re: Finger Foods
Whatever foods he likes in purees, try in finger food form. For the sweet potato, you just bake it and cut it into small pieces.
Some ideas: avocado, tofu, cheerios, baby mum mums, mango, pinto/kidney/black beans, broccoli florets, shredded cheese, pasta, rice.
We do most of the stuff from the pp, but we also do blue berry pancakes, cheese cubes (very tiny), shredded grilled or baked chicken, and meatballs. I cut the everything very small, including the blue berries in the pancakes.
DS is much happier if he is feeding himself.
