When are you ladies installing car seats/ having them inspected

I just left a message with the place in my county that does car seat inspections. We have not installed the car seat yet but I was thinking about 36 weeks? When are you ladies installing yours?

Probably in the next week. We are a few friends that are firemen and are certified in carseat inspections, so they will check them out for us.

I'll be almost 38 weeks when we have ours checked (we booked the appointment for that last week).

We'll install it most likely this weekend since the appointment is next Thursday.

We put ours in this weekend because I thought it would be a lot more complicated than it was. I was shocked at how easy the LATCH system was. I left a message to have it checked this weekend because the next check in our area isn't until after my due date. I haven't heard back, but hopefully I'm going on Saturday!

Installing this weekend and had to make an appointment with the CHP for inspection for next Friday. That'll be at 37 weeks.

Our city does them at the firestation on the 1st Tues of the month, so I guess we'll have to wait.

We had ours done as soon as we got it. One, to make sure that the bases fit and worked in both of our cars, and two, because at this point you never know if you're going to go into labor early... so why not be prepared?

edit: i should mention that we did not try to install it ourselves at all. We wanted to be shown the proper way of doing it, and the police man was very helpful in showing us how to do it the right way. It was easy, but I would have never wanted to do it by myself first.

Our car seat came in the mail today, so we'll install it sometime this week (so SD can get used to having to share the backseat).

We're living abroad right now and rely solely on public transportation to get around, so we will be buckling the car seat into a taxi to come home from the hospital. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to manage on the day, as we really don't have any other option

My husband should be home from his deployment sometime this week and as soon as I pick him up and get all his stuff out of the car the carseat will be installed.

Right now I have the base in the car in the trunk. If I do happen to go into labor all I have to do is grab the carseat and go. They have been worried about be delivering since 24 weeks though, so that is why I make sure it is there, it if was a normal pregnancy I would wait until 36-37 weeks most likely.

I had the base installed in DH's car yesterday. I'm waiting to install mine because DH is detailing my car for me. I will have it installed next week (I'll be 35.5 weeks then).

I think we're going to pick up our car seat/stroller this weekend, so we'll install it then and get it inspected shortly thereafter. So around 36 weeks or so.

We just installed ours tonight and I'll get it checked within a few days. I am actually a little worries that it doesn't fit in my car correctly. I have a Ford Focus and it seems a little tight. I ca't wait to get it checked so I can stop worring about something so silly - I hope it is safe.

Dh installed ours this weekend. It took him all of 5 minutes and that bad-boy is tight. My town doesn't do checks, but I need to find a place that does. I would be shocked if they say it's not right.

I did love the leveling device on the Chicco KF30. Made installation so easy.

We had our installation/inspection last week (35ish weeks). They asked us to bring the bases and seat not installed so they could walk us through the proper installation.

Our hospital installs them for you before you go home!!

All we have to do is bring it with us and they have people certified to put it in.
