Pediatrician Rec in So. Chester Co.

Hi Everyone,

We should be moving to Southern Chester Co. (Avon Grove SD) by July. I have a DS who will be 18 months then, and one due at the end of July. Does anyone have a pediatrician recommendation for me? Thanks!

Hi, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has an ambulatory care network, and there are two primary care practices in So. Chester County (not sure how close they are to you)...West Grove and Kennett Square. I'm admittedly a little biased (I work at CHOP), but I think it's a good system and will take my child to one of the practices near my home. Disclaimer: I do not personally know the providers there. I don't have any personal experience, but everyone I know uses the CHOP Network at the West Grove location (used to be called Kids First, I believe) and they all rave about it. We relocated from Delco so we stuck with our old pediatrician - to me he's worth the drive.

I take DD to the CHOP office in West Grove. All of the doctors (and nurse practitioners) are great there! It can be a little hard to get an appointment, (I made a well child visit in December... for February) but it's well worth it.
