I came home from work, last night, with the worst plugged duct. I fought the damn thing all.night.long. 17 hours, 3 hot showers, 2 overnight pumping sessions, 1 heating pad, 7 steaming wash cloths, 4 hours of sleep (coupled with massage/pressure that would make your toes curl) later, and I think we are finally back in business.

Of course, DS2 had his best night of sleep in weeks, last night.

    That happened with DD and I bought these things made by Gerber. I think it was something like women's breast friend or something. You could either microwave them (plugged duct) or freeze them (weaning) and it looked like a doughnut and I put it right in my bra. It really helped, so hopefully it won't happen again, but if it does....

    Those are the worst, but at least you resolved it and no mastitis! Hopefully he'll sleep great again tonight for you, and it wasn't just a fluke.

    If you fought off the possible mastitis... then a little lost sleep is worth it IMO.  Hopefully last night is the start of really great sleep so you have lots to look forward to!!!  (I hope!)
