LO is 25 days old and he still has his stump. He had an IV through it which can extend the length of time it's there. We're trying to get it to fall off (with the help of his care nurses) and we use an alcohol wipe at every care time or diaper change to help dry it out. His primary nurse said some can last for over a month.

I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
A little less than 2 weeks. I accidentally caught it on a onsie, and it kind of ripped off, though. It was pretty much hanging by a thread by that point anyway.
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

About 30 days...and then only because it snagged on my shirt and ripped a little. The doctor said just to put some polysporin on the scab and watch for infection, otherwise not to worry that it took so long. Although I just realized the other day that deep inside her bellybutton (sort of hidden by her tummy skin) there is still a piece of dried out cord hanging on for dear life, and she is 7 weeks old. We've been giving her real baths for weeks now--oops. I guess I'll ask the ped about it next week.
