9) 2 weeks until RB's adenoid surgery. I cant wait for her to take the first deep, clear breath of her life.
10) DW and I are gonna have to draw straws or something to figure out who stays with her overnight in the hospital. but i'm going to freak if its not me.
1. Mommymonster - I'm superly excited for that book! It is sitting in my Amazon cart waiting for me to decide on something else to buy to get free shipping. I love her writing style and I hope she did a good job with this subject matter!!
2. My office's admin person has called out sick three days in a row now, and doing pieces of her job is starting to annoy me.
3. I'm going with coworkers tonight to meet the new baby of another coworker who is on maternity leave.
4. I've been eating Nature Valley granola bars pretty much daily for years, and I fear I may finally be getting sick of them.
5. I made a French silk pie this weekend and it turned out so delicious. DW and I each ate two pieces yesterday, oops.
6. We booked a hotel for part of our honeymoon, but still didn't buy plane tickets or request the time off...
7. I have abad habit of deciding what type of graduate degree I might like in the spring after applications are due..We'll see if I continue the pattern of changing my mind by fall.
8. I didn't know my supervisor was in today...wonder if that means I should wrap up my TTT!
9. I'm so tired.
10. And out of things to say. Back to work.

2. I thought I was going to get a lot done with my snow/ice day yesterday but it didn't end up that way.
3. Even though my to-do list didn't shrink much yesterday I had a wonderful time hanging out and playing, playing, playing with my little Jelly Bean.
4. JB's bday party theme has been changed from tea party to lady bug. It just feels more like her.
5. 24 hours pump free. Part of me misses the thing.
6. One month from today is the largest event of my year. There's a lot of work to do between now and then but this is the stuff I enjoy.
7. How sad is it that I'm half tempted to call The Nest headquarters to complain about staff? Sad. I know. But seriously, if it were any other business I would have already called to complain about customer service. Give the damn mods some answers people!
8. All the executives here are behind closed doors in an emergency meeting. I wonder if layoffs are finally coming.
9. I like the peaceful retreat that this board is in comparison to others.
10. Time to get to work. Have a wonderful day ladies! :-)

1. I love working from home on Tuesdays.. it makes Monday's so much easier to deal with2. My cat, Henry, turned the corner last night - I woke up to him screaming in my face, starving. YAY!3. My baby sister outed my pregnancy on facebook. Never tell an 18 year old anything.. It is contained..for now.4. My older sister has the swine flu and wanted to come over and get her dogs leash. I lost my head and told her I would mail her $10.00 to buy a new one.. does she not remember I am pregnant?!5. I worry about my lack of veggies and meat.. I try to convince myself this trimester doesn't really count..6. I puked for the first time last night. 7. We ordered our nursery furniture!! 8. Everyone thinks we are set on having a boy because the nursery is painted blue and brown stripes. I think they are soothing colors and I don't like the color pink. 9. we are team green and everyone thinks I can't do it10. cereal with blueberries is so good, I may have another bowl..
1) the dna testing was a traumatic event, but its over
2) i'm anxious for the results
Best of luck on the DNA results!
5) has anyone else's tax return been majorly delayed?
YES! I usually have mine by now and am usually way over the top about filing early. Our preparer said that the feds weren't even accepting them yet when we first met with her this year! Horror of horrors to me who is always itching to get things filed and returns back.

Ours were delayed by about 3 weeks, we called our tax preparer and she said she had to resubmit everyones to get the IRS to accept them.
2. Still haven't started studying for my finals next week.
3. The puppy is amped up and keeps bringing the ball and dropping it on me until I throw it for her.
4. The other dog will not stop licking me or DW (he can probably smell or sense the drugs we are both taking now.)
5. I can't get my RE to return my phone calls and have to settle for our nurse manager. Normally not a big deal but these emotions are making it feel intolerable.
6. Loving my "sleep in" day when both me and DW woke up at 6am and stayed in bed until...still in bed
7. Cried at work yesterday. In front of several coworkers. For no reason at all. It is weird not being able to explain why I am acting so strangely to them.
8. Due to severe side effects I must now take part of my estrogen dose as a suppository...with new and interesting side effects (TMI?)
9. Am shopping for a vacation to take in the next two months.
10. My boss told me we would "totally be BFFs" if I didn't work for her.
1. I am taking the crib down today and moving it to the back house for storage. I'm not the tiniest bit sad about it.
2. I'm having a hard time finding red oak flooring that is 1.5" wide and 3/4 inch thick. The narrowest I've found is 2 1/4", should we buy wide planks and cut them thinner?
3. I started refinishing my desk yesterday, it's going to look amazing when it's done.
4. I have a lot of house related projects to get done this week.
5. I want the house to look warm and welcoming when LO comes over on Friday but I know it's not going to be what I'm envisioning. Our floors haven't been patched or refinished, we don't have our new couches and tables, our house looks like a mishmash of college furniture. Ugh.
6. My cats knocked a cup of water onto DW's computer the other day and fried it. Hopefully it dries over the next couple of weeks and starts working again.
7. I wish we owned this house, I would gut it and make it beautiful.
8. The jasmine on the pergola is blooming, it smells heavenly!
9. I want to buy grape vines and train them up the other side of the pergola.
10. I spoke to our AM yesterday, he is very excited that our visit went well on Friday and is suggesting to the CW that LO move in between the 21st and 31st of this month. Yay!
1. Today is our 8th wedding anniversary. L forgot, "Today is the 8th? I thought it was the 7th. Oh, happy anniversary!" LOL.
2. I could not fall asleep last night. It was after midnight when I did and around 5:30am, e-mails started dinging in L's blackberry that she'd left upstairs. YAWN.
3. My advice to anyone who is doing or considering doing a PhD program, do it before you have kids. L is still on chapter 1 and I am about to lose my mind. Trying to work FT, write a disseration, and have a family is hard - for everyone involved (kids included.)
4. If you play Words with Friends (scrabble) on your smartphone and want to play, I am AlisonP20. I am slightly addicted.
5. The teacher's aide who had the discussion about fathers is gone. We got a note yesterday that she left to pursue a career that makes more money. Seems odd since she's been there for 10 years, so I wonder if that is the whole story. Her child is still in the class with the boys, so she is still around - saw her yesterday.
6. L is working from home today. I want to work from home sometimes.
7. Sometimes I regret answering my office phone. It always involves more work.
8. I have a feeling I am going to be subpoenaed on a case I had last month. I had a lengthy call with risk management/legal yesterday. Not my fault whatsoever, but I was there.
9. I booked the boys birthday party yesterday for a bounce place. We're inviting their entire class plus a few more. They are so excited. Grayson wants a My Little Pony cake. LOL.
10. This is what I looked like 8 years ago almost to the hour (11am wedding)
Your statement about PhDs is my fear exactly...but I don't want to put baby making on hold forever, so I think being in school with young children is inevitable. If I go the PhD route I hope to not be working full-time at the same time, but the finances are daunting. What will L's PhD be in?

2. I'm so glad spring is on its way... I'm over the cold, dreary winter.
3. Hey, spring is almost here... time to renew talks of the spring Philly get together?! Please!!!
4. Daylight savings time this week. Yay for more sun in the evening!
5. It looks like Gwen might be pushing her bedtime back just a little. She takes longer to go to sleep when we do that, but she sleeps so much better and longer! Maybe we'll start taking a 10 minute walk around the block before bed or right before eating, since we'll still have some sun.
6. I've had this window open for 2 hours now and just can't find 4 more... so we'll stop here.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

Her PhD will be in Adult Learning and Human Resource Development (training, organizational development, performance management, etc) with a dissertation on emotional abuse in the workplace. She is on a timeline for chapter 1 (was due yesterday, but she pushed it back to the end of the week) so has been fairly MIA recently which is hard for all of us.
1) 2brides, love it!! And I just sent your a Words game
2) C is in france for work this week. It just came up on Friday. I wish there was more notice so maybe I could go!
3) I'm not sure I like my new job. It is OK but I wish they did more to ramp me up...
4) I'm spending about as much as I make coaching in gas to keep coaching this season. I justify it because I'll miss the kids so much after this.
5) I am kind of anxious about selling our house. Like, it won't sell kind of anxious. its only been 3 weeks. Just make an offer, any offer. As long as we don't need to bring money to the table, we'll take it.
6) I browse real estate here all the time. I was a new place so bad.
7) new carpet coming to la casa de parents attic next week and we can FINALLY really get settled
8) I am so anxious for C's appt next Tues. This is our first week w/o an ultrasound
9) I started buying cloth diapers and might be developing a problem. Everything I've gotten has been on sale or used though...
10) have i ever mentioned i need to get into shape?
1: I am exhausted after being in the ER at Childrens with Ky until 5 AM.
2: Ky has croup....fun.
3: When explaing her discharge instruations I could not get the image out of my head of sticking Ky's head in a freezer, a suggestion for her barking cough should it return.
4: DW let me sleep in and got up with Ky at 9 this morning.
5: She also made a yummy breakfast and had it waiting on the table with juice when she came to wake me up for work!
6: Since today is her day off I also get a homemade dinner...yeah!
7: I am supposed to find out today whether or not I get to go to a day shift temporarily.
8:I have no patience to wait around for a response and I am thinking about hunting down my boss.
1. Holy cow we put an offer on a house .. and now we wait 7 days eek. I hope we get it
2. Phlebotomy rotation starts Thur and I am a freaking out a lil - Dear patients in hospital I apologize in advance if I hurt you and I hope you get better soon.
3. Almost 21weeks left till these babies come - Its flying by still wish i could feel them like DW does. Is that bad I cant wait till they kick the Sh** outta here hahah.
4. we registered at two places and it seems like we registered for the same stuff. Will we really need these things ... and if the house is upstairs down stairs do we need xtras for each level?
5. gonna see the house today again ... HOLLY COW we put an offer on a house!
6. Lots of first this year - first house, first mini van .. hmm there seems to be more yesterday.
7. I feel absent minded today !
8. Inlaws are coming to visit we only been here for 2 years almost ... I have rotation so i want see them a whole lot but they are skeptical of vegas but insist on staying at their time share instead of our house
9. Our friends just had their baby girl yesterday so we will bring them dinner tonight so excited!
1. jean - yeah for henry! I am so glad he is better!!
2. 2 Brides - Happy Anniversary!!
3. I got the playoffs ticket package for the Mavs today. I hope they make it and go far so I can actually go to some games.
4. 7 days (ish) until CD1!! I am so excited it is finally time again!
5. I try to wait until the end of the day to do these, so I can piggy back on other people's.
6. We are having executive level drama in my company recently. It is going to end very badly. I am not looking forward to the fallout or the day that someone asks me my opinion. Because I am brutally honest.
7. I am seriously considering eating more spaghetti for my 'afternoon' snack.
8. DW goes to her new restaurant tomorrow. She is very excited.
9. Before we laid off people, managers kept trying to justify the ton of overtime everyone was working. So, I implemented a new OT procedure, where the supervisors have to report it directly to me. Now, with half the people, there is no overtime, and service levels have not suffered...what were these people doing before?????
10. I did not lose the amount of weight I wanted before cycling again. I hope it will not inhibit our success.

4. we registered at two places and it seems like we registered for the same stuff. Will we really need these things ... and if the house is upstairs down stairs do we need xtras for each level?
No. You might want a couple of a few things, but don't need double (ie. 2 swings upstairs and 2 downstairs.) We loved having 2 swings and 2 bouncies (one for each baby.) The swings stayed on our main level, but the bouncies were easy to transport up and down as needed. I did like having a pack and play in the living room for easy changing (ours had a changing table on it) and a place for the kids to nap until they transitioned to their cribs for naps.
Look for a multiples group and see if you can find their consignment sales. You can get used items in great condition for a fraction of the cost - and then if you become a member you can re-sell it and re-coup your costs. Plus, if you buy 2 swings and your kids hate them, you aren't out a lot of money!
4. we registered at two places and it seems like we registered for the same stuff. Will we really need these things ... and if the house is upstairs down stairs do we need xtras for each level?
With twins it may be a little different but I have found a system that works for us for Ky since moving in to a two level house.
1: We keep a few "big" items upstairs and a few downstairs. ie: swing, bouncy seat, exersaucer....That way we have at least one on each level.
2: I have a laundry basket of toys stashed in my coat closet in the living room. I rotate these every Friday when I clean house. Basically I take Ky and th basket upstairs, dump out all of the toys and then she "helps" me put new toys in the basket from her toy shelf and from the stuff on the floor I know she loves right now (alligator xylephone and her stuffed puppy). Then we put the rest of the toys back on the shelf.
3: I keep a a stack of bibs and baby wascloths in the cabinet with her food and bottles so I do not have to schlep back up the stairs to get them.
4: I have a tub of wipes, stack of diapers, and butt paste in a cute box on my end table. You would never know it was stashed in there.
5: I keep a few clean onsies and socks along with a small pail for dirty clothes in my laundry room. that way if we have a blowout I do not have to carry her ipstairs and potentially drip poo everywhere.
Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary. I remembered it when Little Man woke me up for the day, but by 5:30 (after making him a bottle and nursing Peanut), I'd completely forgotten, so S said happy anniversary first.
Our morning was way too rushed to be an anniversary morning. Sigh.
Next year I think we should take the day off work.
I can't believe OUR BABIES WILL BE ONE TOMORROW! Where in the world did this year go?!!
I am very glad DW organized a b-day party for the kiddos at work tomorrow. Thank you, S! You are an awesome Mama!
I had a hard time deciding who in my area to invite-- I hope no one gets their feelings hurt if they weren't invited.
I am a wee bit jealous that Two*True has kicked her pump to the curb.
But I'm also a little scared of what happens when I dry up and I can't nurse Little Man at night. Nursing him is the only way I get any sleep.
Now that it's our anniversary, I am reminded once again that I have yet to send my dress to get cleaned. Oops.
This is what we looked like 3 years ago tonight... I'm the one in the dress. ;-)
Happy Anniversary, Alison!
married 03/08/08 -- ttc with PCOS (dx 2005) & DS
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
1) I'm giving up recreational internet at work for Lent. We will see how that goes. :-D
2) I've been doing Weight Watchers again and really liking it, for some reason. Even if I don't lose anything (which I usually don't, especially if I'm exercising a lot), it still makes me feel like my eating is healthy and in control, which is a good feeling.
3) We have our first OB/fertility appointment on April 11th. FINALLY. Let's get a baby up in here, people.
4) We need some relatively minor tax help this year - nothing too crazy, but more than just a program (like Turbo Tax, etc.). The first person we contacted quoted us $1100 to prepare them. Um...no. I realize that some people may have complicated enough tax issues to justify that fee and much more, but we are not those people.
5) I want a cupcake from Crumbs.
6) I read a few days ago that social self-isolation increases with age - meaning that if you tend to be a homebody at age 26, you are likely to be a full-on hermit at 76. Uh-oh.
7) I feel like my priorities and opinions have changed so much in the past 10 years. I wonder what I will be like when I'm 42?
8) I wonder what the WORLD will be like when I'm 42?
9) Why are the good tomatoes still so many months away? WINTER, Y U SO LONG?
Happy Anniversary 2brides...I just sent you an invite for WWF...I am addicted too
1. It is the end of my work day and I have just managed to get on the nest for a few minutes...ugh.
2. My WWF username is thekam...should anyone else like to invite me to play. It is seriously addictive...but hey, it's makin me use my noggin!
3. I haven't seen my GF since Sunday 2/27. Between her work schedule and then her being sick and not wanting to make me and DD sick over the weekend, we have not been able to get together. Miss her.
4. Luckily we are going away for a 4 day weekend, just the two of us, leaving Friday morning for the Oregon Coast. CAN.NOT.WAIT.
5. I guess it's only gonna be 5 for me today...I gotta leave to pick up the kiddo!
7. I wish we owned this house, I would gut it and make it beautiful.
8. The jasmine on the pergola is blooming, it smells heavenly!
9. I want to buy grape vines and train them up the other side of the pergola.
!
Wow you dont own it and you are doing all this work on it ... what a nice tenant !
The owner is a family friend and we told him we plan to stay here until we buy a house so we will more than likely be here for quite a few years. He has said yes to every change we've asked to make to the house, excluding demo. The house needs some love and since I want it to look nice he is letting us do pretty much whatever we want at our own cost. He is paying to replace the vanity and medicine cabinet in the bathroom since they have mold/mildew for a leak.
1. it's not Tuesday anymore. I don't know why I should be surprised about that seeing as I haven't even POSTED on a TTT for a few weeks, and I don't know when the last time I actually joined in on Tuesday was.
2. I get to leave work early today--but it's because they found a small cavity when I went in for my cleaning the other day, so I have to go back to get it filled. boo.
3.I ordered a canvas of a photo I took of our son. it was one that my wife specifically requested I get on canvas, and it arrived yesterday. I love it!
4. is Thursday the photo post? I might have to make my own post today just to share the canvas...
5. my desk is a mess. and I even made a pretty big dent in the mess last week. I need to get this under control before I go crazy.
6. I'm so tired. stupid insomnia. last night I was still up and wide awake at 2am, finally fell asleep and was awake again by 4:30. then my alarm went off at 6:45.
7. I'm hungry and I still have half an hour until lunch.
8. I'm hanging out with my sister tonight, that should be fun.
9. it's really surreal to be giving myself a shot every day. it's even more surreal how quickly I've gotten used to it.
10. I had to change number 7. when I first typed it, it said an hour.
4. we registered at two places and it seems like we registered for the same stuff. Will we really need these things ... and if the house is upstairs down stairs do we need xtras for each level?

Ahh... make sense but what do you mean a Multiple group? Sorry this is all new to me !
I am revamping the registry so a bouncy and swing got it !!!! Although something tells me we will need a swing for bot up and down ... hmm.. I guess one for now wait and see then if needed get 2nd one later.

Yay!
Two Mommies Healing Hearts

2brides - Happy anniversary!
Your statement about PhDs is my fear exactly...but I don't want to put baby making on hold forever, so I think being in school with young children is inevitable.
If I go the PhD route I hope to not be working full-time at the same time, but the finances are daunting. What will L's PhD be in?

8: I have no patience to wait around for a response and I am thinking about hunting down my boss.

Happy Anniversary, Alison!
10) Time to go running.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. it's not Tuesday anymore.
I like how you think! Will def use some of these suggestions ! Thank you !!!!!!
