Newton Wellesley Hospital, high risk pregnancy?

Hi Ladies,

Have any of you delivered at NWH being high risk? What were you high risk for (i.e. blood pressure).

What was your experience? What OB would you recommend?

Re: Newton Wellesley Hospital, high risk pregnancy?

  • i think i may have already answered this before, but i'll say it again.  i have been a patient of dr. vasilakis from about women by women for over 8 years.  i have had blood pressure issues (pih and preeclampsia) with all of my pregnancies, and she was wonderful.  she also had me monitored by mfm @ nwh.  i have seen both dr. dunn and dr. economy.  good luck!

  • I had a high risk pregnancy and gave birth at NWH and had a very good experience with the care that I got.

I had gestational diabetes and then got high blood pressure. I was on bed rest for six weeks before being induced at 38 1/2 weeks when my BP went too high. I was induced, my labor stalled, and I ended up having a C-section.

I had great experiences with Dr. Molly Clark my OB/GYN who was actually the doctor on call for my delivery. She is a doctor at For Women By Women in Wellesley and she has a wonderful bedside manner. During my pregnancy I was also seen by a high-risk pregnancy specialist at NWH named Dr. Julian Robinson that I also liked very much.

    I hope this helps!
