We are getting a 3D ultrasound at 20 weeks because is what my Doc's office has. Originally we weren't going to know the sex but my husband is concerned that the ultrasound will be shorter and compromised because the tech will be cautious not to hit certain areas.
Has anyone had both and felt that when learning the sex their experience was better because the tech could take more liberties, or does it really not matter?
Re: Not knowing gender at ultrasound
I agree. My tech (for both babies) just turned our monitor off and she looks at the genitals to make sure that things looked ok whatever the gender was. The u/s was not compromised at all.
GL! I LOVE being Team Green!
I actually just got mine today and the u/s teach was really nice! She was super nervous that she was going to let us know by mistake, so when she got near the "area" she just asked us to look away. This is our first so I don't know how long they normally take, but it felt very thorough and took about 45 minutes.
